What You Will Do
- Automate: Write simple scripts in Python, Bash, or Ansible to save time.
- Troubleshoot: Find out why a system is slow or broken and fix it.
- System Services Management: Assist in configuring and maintaining core infrastructure services: DNS, NTP, Logging (ELK/Loki), and Monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana).
- Troubleshooting: Help diagnose issues across the stack—from Virtual Machines and Linux Kernel bugs to networking bottlenecks.
- Monitoring & Reliability: Track system health and participate in on-call rotations to learn how to handle production incidents at scale.
- OS Hardening: Learn to secure and tune Linux operating systems for maximum performance and security.

What You Should Have
- Linux Mastery (Junior Level): Comfortable with the CLI, process management, permissions, and package management (apt/yum).
- Networking Fundamentals: Solid grasp of TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing (HAProxy/Nginx), and basic debugging tools like tcpdump or netstat.
- Cloud & Virtualization: Basic understanding of VMs, Containers (Docker), and KVM hypervisors.
- Scripting: Ability to write clean, functional scripts in Python or Bash.
- Mindset: A strong ""Automate Everything"" mentality and a passion for finding the root cause of problems.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible).
- Experience running a Home Lab or managing your own Linux server.
- A habit of documenting your work and technical learnings.
- Full-Stack Infrastructure: How cloud works from the physical hardware up to the software layer.
- High Availability: How to build systems that never go down.
