Objective:

IBP DP Redeployment: Outliers Correction & Statistical Forecasting

• • Redeploy IBP DP (Integrated Business Planning - Demand Planning function) by optimizing outliers cleansing and statistical forecast functions that are suitable with business requirements
  • Evaluate forecast quality suggested by IBP DP, identify the gap and what need to be improved or implemented

Key responsibilities:

1. Implement Outlier Correction and Statistical forecast by IBP DP

• Work with stakeholders to understand S&OP (Sales & Operation Planning) process by Brands, understand all factors impact to forecast
• Analyze sales data by SKUs level across all Distribution channels to have a deep understanding about product complexity & product life-cycle versus demand patterns ( e.g. pipeline, trending, seasonality, cannibalization, ect.)
• Analyze and evaluate outlier correction job running by IBP DP, considering the root causes and business context
• Analyze & evaluate the existing statistical forecasting models to identify which are the suitable ones to apply for specific Product aggregation

2. Forecast accuracy measurement

• Evaluate forecast quality of IBP DP with current methods
• Identify and understanding Forecast Error root causes and conduct suitable solutions
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement suitable solutions to improve forecast accuracy
• Document approved outlier correction and forecasting methodologies and develop suitable template for using IBP DP forecast suggestion to apply to current process
• Engage with project team to give feedbacks and build buy-in for improvements
