01. About the Company

Dong-Wha Pharmaceutical, founded in 1897, is Korea’s first pharmaceutical company with 129 years of consumer trust in healthcare.

Now launching a Global Themed Retail Platform - a destination H&B store combining K-Beauty, K-Drug, K-Food, and a proprietary IP universe. The first flagship is planned in Ho Chi Minh City in 2027, targeting 1,000 stores worldwide by 2030.

In 2023, Dong-Wha acquired Trung Son Pharma, a Vietnamese pharmacy chain with 183 locations across the country. This network provides the local consumer base and infrastructure for retail expansion.

4 Store Formats

• Landmark: 1,800-2,000 m^2 | 1-2 per city

• Flagship: 600-800 m^2 | 3-4 per city

Your research may directly inform a real store opening in Vietnam. This is not a class project.

We want to understand why Vietnamese consumers seek out stand-alone flagship stores, how characters, brand story, and in-store experience translate into visits and purchases, and whether Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi can run on the same format.

Whatever we find together may be built into a store that actually exists in Vietnam.
